General Questions

Why should I choose Play Buddy?

How do I contact Play Buddy?
Filling out a Play Buddy Support form and/or emailing support@playbuddy.com is the means of contacting Play Buddy.
What's your phone number? Can I call you?
Currently we do not offer phone support and therefore are unable to be reached this way. Please email support@playbuddy.com should you need to contact us.
Does your software contain viruses?
No! software downloaded directly from our website is 100% safe - we do not put viruses, malware, spyware, adware or ANYTHING harmful into any of our code; every program is tested on numerous machines all with antivirus software installed. Furthermore, read our Norton credentials here.
How does the Yearly Subscription work?
Every individual Buddy is purchased as a yearly subscription. This means that your registration is good for 1 year. During this time all updates (new versions) are free and unlimited. At the end of the year, your Buddy will prompt you to resubcribe. This is NOT an automated process so when your subscription expires, you will not be automatically renewed (billed).
How does the Monthly Subscription work?
By opting for the monthly subscription you will receive access to ALL Buddies for a monthly fee. All updates (new versions) are free and unlimited. At the end of the month you will automatically be renewed (billed) unless you cancel your subscription.
It says my subscription is expired. How do I renew it?
Select the "Buy Now" option on the registration window. Choose the payment method that is most convenient for you. After you purchase your Buddy, your new registration code will be emailed to you.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Because the yearly subscription process is not automated, you can cancel at any time by not using your Buddy. The monthly subscription can be cancelled via the link on the bottom of your confirmation email or via After Purchase Services.
You don't have a Buddy for my game. Can you make one?
Play Buddy is continuously developing new Buddies. To request a Buddy for your game, fill out this form.
Can you put a new feature/option in my Buddy?
Play Buddy strives to offer the best software with the best options. If you would like to see a different or new option in your Buddy, fill out this form.
I lost or removed my Buddy. How do I get it back?
Under the Products (Downloads) page, select your gamesite. Then find your game. You can now re-download your Buddy.

What payment methods do you accept?

Click on the "Buy Now" button of your Buddy and a dropdown will appear that offers checkout access to our convenient credit card and PayPal payment options.
What is the "All Buddies" payment option?
This option greatly benefits customers who use more than one Buddy on a regular basis, as it provides access to ALL Buddies on our website for one low monthly fee.
How do I sign up for the "All Buddies" monthly subscription?
You can sign up to the monthly subscription via ANY Buddy's 'Buy Now' (there is a "All Buddies" purchase option there), or on any Buddy's purchase page on our website.
Are re-downloads and updates included in my purchase?
Absolutely! Re-downloading your Buddy(s) and attaining unlimited new versions or updates, is free for as long as your subscription is active.
How long do I have to wait for my registration code (serial number)?
The length of time varies depending upon the payment method you used.

Credit Card or PayPal: Once your order is processed, your registration information is sent immediately to the email address you provided.
I accidentally purchased the wrong Buddy. How can I get the correct one?
First repurchase the correct item. Then email support with BOTH of your order numbers and explain that you purchased the wrong item by mistake. A refund for the accidental purchase can then be issued.

What is a "Classic" Buddy?

Product pages that list a red "Classic" message signify a "Classic" Buddy. This means that the Buddy has limitations that may cause it to have bugs and not work properly; for example sometimes they MUST be used in Internet Explorer browsers ONLY and might not find the game area for no apparent reason. We're aware of these issues and are gradually re-doing these bots into "new and improved" versions, to be finalized in 2015.
How long does the trial last?
The free trial lasts 7 days from the date it is downloaded (not 7 uses).
My trial expired but I didn't get to use it. Can I have a new trial?
Because the Buddy recognizes your computer you will have to wait for an update (new bug-fixed version) of the Buddy to be released. You can then use a new free 7-day trial.
Is the trial version the same as the purchased version?
Yes, the trial and purchased Buddy are exactly the same, with one minor difference. The trial version has a Trial Limitation message that appears periodically during autoplay. This message disappears as soon as the Buddy is purchased and registered.
How do I get my old version back?
Play Buddy consistently uploads and makes available only the newest versions of our software. Old versions are not available. However, occasionally affiliates will keep old versions. These can be found by doing a search online for the Buddy name and version you seek. For example: Spade Buddy 1.5 .
Can I use my Buddy on more than 1 computer?
Yes. Per your Terms of Sale (License Agreement) you may use the Buddy on two different computers for no additional charge.
Do I have to pay again for updated versions or to redownload my Buddy(s)?
Nope! Unless your serial number is expired you NEVER have to repurchase your Buddy and updates/new versions are unlimited and free.
I'm a paying subscriber but my purchased Buddy opened to the "Trial" window. What do I do?
Sometimes Buddies need to re-verify their registration so simply re-enter your currently active registration information. You NEVER have to repurchase your Buddy unless your serial number is expired.

My computer or antivirus program blocked my download - now what?
Sorry about that! These false positives are simply because not many people have downloaded the software, yet. This is especially common with recently updated Buddies. It can be restored via the culprit's settings or options (look for a 'safe/allowed' or 'whitelist' selection). And just a reminder that software downloaded directly from our website is 100% safe - we do not put viruses, malware, spyware, adware or ANYTHING malicious into any of our code; every program is tested on numerous machines all with antivirus software installed. How do I register my Buddy?

Follow these instructions for assistance.
Why does it say "Invalid Serial Number"?
Either the Buddy is for the incorrect gamesite and therefore does not work with your registration code, or some part of the registration information was not entered correctly. Follow these instructions for assistance.
I lost my registration code (serial number). Can you send it to me?
Your registration information can be retrieved by clicking on "Find Registration Code" under Buddy Help at the top of this page, or by clicking here.
I'm a paying subscriber but my purchased Buddy opened to the "Trial" window. What do I do?

Why won't my Buddy work?

There are many different scenarios and reasons why your Buddy may not be working.

Play Buddy uses a variety of programming languages (i.e. VB, C, C++) and many years-worth of education / experience to create Buddies.
Will it work on Mac?
No, Play Buddy products are not compatible with Mac's.
What operating systems (OS) will your Buddies work on?
Play Buddy products are compatible with Vista and newer machines.
